This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the release of the first Strawbs album on  A&M Records and David Cousins,  Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk were the front-line of the classic line-up of this, Britain's most successful international folk-rock band  (and three of our favourite guys). In the '70s they  were scoring chart success here in Britain (remember 'Grave New World' and 'Bursting the Seams'?)  and also in the US and Canada (where 'Hero and Heroine', and 'Ghosts' spent over 52 weeks on the Billboard charts). David Cousins was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2002 and presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Classic Rock Society.  Back every year at  the Club, they never fail to thrill and entertain.Beck Siàn opening for the fabulous Acoustic Strawbs in one of the UK's very best folk music venues - friendly, lovely people and a great venue filled with beautiful traditional and contemporary folk and acoustic music.
